So this is my journey in pictures and a description of what was going on during that part of my journey. Leh go!!!!

My hair is so scrumptious during this part of my journey. I was natural for about three years on this picture. Although it took my hair almost 48 hours to dry for this twist out. Seriously wore twists for two days for this twist out.

So my wonderful three days twist out ends with my favorite protective style. Jumbo two strand crown twist. To be honest, at this point I was frustrated that I could not keep my twist outs longer than those few days. I was contemplating putting the creamy crack back in my hair to have a lasting hairstyle. At this time I refuse to believe that natural hair was work. Don’t laugh at me; I didn’t know. Lol!

Yep!!! You eyes are not deceiving you. I went back to the creamy crack, the perm.  Because I was already considering perming my hair and cutting it, @thecutlife got the best of me. I am not the only one who is in love with their Instagram page and consider cutting their hair. But I am the crazy one who did it. Whyyyyyyy???????? I enjoyed this short style so much, and it was so easy to maintain.  The top picture my hair was long on the left side and short in the back as you can see. Loved it so much that I went all the down to a pixie cut. I know, I know, crazy right?! This pixie cut became a problem because of the maintenance to keep it looking laid, girl. I had enough and decided to grow my perm out and try the natural journey again. I transitioned for about a year and a half from this cut and that means all I could do was protective styles such as braids and wigs. I basically started with no hair at all and learned so much in six-plus years of being natural. It’s just hair and experiment (the right way, nothing crazy) and don’t be afraid of what people say. It is YOUR journey!!! How was your journey?

Blessings

Great Lip Colors for fall!

Of course, these lip colors are great for women of color. I am pretty sure we all or most of all lean toward the reds and plum tones to bring out the richness of our melanin. Now to list the colors from left to right:

Mac Ruby Woo, Hex by Urban Decay, Mac Cyber, Disturbed by Urban Decay, Mac Instigator, Mac Viva Glam Ariana Grande, Rock Steady by Urban Decay

These are my go-to lippies when I am going out whether it’s with my husband, out with the girls or whenever I am feeling it. Because the lips are bold, I most likely keep my eyes simple with a natural looking eyelash like Ardell’s Demi-wispies. Give it a try and tag me on Instagram @abundanceofbeautee, I would love to see how you wear your fall lip colors.

Fall is here!!

Who else is a lover of fall? This years fall is extra special for me since I will be living in Japan on next fall. No worries I will be blogging like crazy during our journey overseas. I love drinking from my assortment of coffee mugs ( I collect them) and bundled up with my favorite blanket and fuzzy socks. Not to mention my collection of scarves. During this weather it is so easy to style your clothing especially if you are a mom or you like to cover up without looking ashamed. You can’t go wrong with leggings of any color and oversize sweaters and long sleeve shirts. Pea coats or bubble jackets are a must as well. You don’t have to try hard at all. I have natural hair so during this season I wear hats and scarves on my head to help keep it moistened. For all my natural hair peeps, I am pretty sure you know of this trick even if its not fall or winter. Scarves is a way of life in my book. Multifunctional pieces for sure. For any of you that loves to thrift shop, this is the best time to load up on fall and winter pieces for cheap. If you live in a state that have all seasons or maybe more of a winter season like here in Colorado, you will have more luck I think. Thrift stores is the way to go and you can save a pretty penny. Share some of your winter or fall things you like to do or your favorite tea or frappe.
